Company officials said the model will be assimilated with a performance oriented diesel engine, which will surely enable the car to create a strong bond with the premium SUV buyers of the country.
The SsangYong Rexton price is not confirmed as of now, but with the launch of its new model, the company is looking ahead to pose some stiff competition against the likes of Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner and Honda CR-V.
Launch of Rexton will enable M&M to carve a niche in the high-end SUV segment after acquiring a leadership position in the entry-level Utility Vehicle (UV) segment. M&M is well known for offering value-for-money models in the Indian auto market, which is quite evident with the launch of Quanto compact SUV and XUV500.
